Artist’s Comments:

“This piece was commissioned by a collector who wanted my Sensory Gated Art style to represent an aerial view of their favorite city: Paris, France. I wanted it to possess their favorite qualities of this famous city and I accomplished this by studying it through photos, food, music, and history. I perused several photos provided by the collector and I formulated the fundamental colors of Paris. The detail of Sensory Gated Art is not found in the visual “noise” of the piece; but in the accuracy of the colors, lines, and textures.

The blue and gray palette was the collector’s personal preference, so I chose to capture “Paris at dusk” when those colors appear in the city. I electrified the streets with metallic gold paint as the glow of traffic and night life emerge.

Bringing Paris to life in this piece truly felt like I was there.”
